My Thanksgiving Wish

My Thanksgiving wish this year was that the BYU-Utah game would be a classic and that BYU would win unlike last year. I guess I must be living right because my wish definitely came true.

This year's game ended great and has resulted in the following motivational poster. I always love these so I figured I should share.
Way to go Cougars (all except that Holy Max Hall Press Conference, Batman)!!

I Bleed Blue

I love rivalry week. Go BYU!

And yes, that top left picture would be the famous Beck to Harline touchdown in 2006 and I just might still have this game saved on my DVR. Don't judge. I only watch it when I am really depressed and need cheering up.

Things That Make You Go Hmmm!

I love when people use phrases like "udderly ridiculous" on the KSL comment boards. It makes me laugh. It's like a "moo point".

Also, I love going to Bajio and grabbing napkins with the Quizno's logo on them. No lie! This is a true story. A few weeks ago this actually happened to me. As I looked at the Bajio/Quizno napkins wondering how this situation came about, the following scene played out in my head.

Manager in Training Extraordinaire (MITE)--It looks like we are running low on the napkins. Can you grab some and do a refill?

Employee #1--No problem . . . Actually there does seem to be a problem. I can't find any napkins. But, I can run to the store and pick some up.

MITE--The napkins from the store are way too expensive. We get a much better deal when we buy in bulk from the supplier.

Employee #1--But we need napkins now. I can just take $5 dollars and get enough to last until the next shipment.

MITE--As the manager in training, it is my job to try to cut expenses. We can't waste money on store napkins. I have a better idea. Why don't you run next door to Quizno's and grab some?

Employee #1--Seriously?

MITE--Yes . . . but you better take this $5 dollars and buy something while you are there so you don't look so suspicious when you grab that stack of napkins.

Thanksgiving Can't Come Soon Enough

I got this delightful surprise in a text message last night. Apparently this is his new favorite toy according to my sister. He is getting so big. I can't wait to see them next week. I am counting the days. Thanksgiving just needs to get here already.

Baby Love

I had a great time on my trip with Mom to Logan to visit Neil, Sara, and Baby Sydney. She is just the cutest thing ever, and so tiny. But I might not have made the best impression. She wasn't too happy with me when I came up with the bright idea of playing photoshoot with the baby. We dressed her all up and used props and spent most of the time trying to get her to stop crying. In the end, it was pose the baby, get a picture or two, Sara calms the baby, rinse and repeat. However, we did get a few really cute pictures (if you follow Sara's blog, some of these are a repeat).

Here are some of my other favorite pictures.I don't like being naked in a basket Aunt Corinne. You are mean!

Mmmm! This blanket sure is tasty.Argh! I can still see you with my pirate eye.
Someone sure has Daddy wrapped around her finger.
Not very hard to do at all.
Sydney & Aunt Corinne

It was really hard to leave. I am glad I get to see them again in a week and a half for Thanksgiving and that they will soon be moving closer to St. George. I suspect I might be visting a little more often.

Patio Pictures

Who would have thought I would be so in love with my new patio cover and furniture? Seriously, I am so happy with it and wonder why it took me so long to get everything put up. Today, I spent a few hours out in my backyard eating breakfast, drinking hot cider and reading a book. Heaven!

This past week, I also hosted a bridal shower for Amy outside. I put up lights and lanterns (as seen above) to create a little additional atmosphere. It was so much fun and everything turned out so good. I will judge it a smashing success.

Some days I feel like this at work.

Other days I feel like this.

I will let you guess which kind of day it is.

That is all!
