Day 18: Nicknames Part 2

I remembered another nickname that comes with a funny story.

So a while back, a few of us were hanging out at an FHE activity at the park.  My friend K*** (name changed to protect him in case this is not entirely legal) started randomly looking up people there to see if they had ticket/arrest records.  He is an attorney and has access to these types of court records.  He put in my name and didn't come up with anything stating that my record was clean.  I happen to know that this isn't entirely true.  I have had one speeding ticket in the past for going 30 in a 25 in Pine Valley.  I know.  Ridiculous.

Anyway, I thought it was weird that it wasn't showing up, so I asked him how he spelled my last name.  D-E-C-K-E-R. What?  Who?

Apparently, in all the years we had know each other, K*** thought my name was Corinne Decker.  Since that time, I have become Decker.  Half of the time, when I call Trudi, she answers "What's up Decker?" And when I run into K***, he refers to me as Decker too.
